New Galleries Opening Celebration

This summer, we unveil ten new galleries at the National Museum of Scotland. From the oldest aircraft in Britain and ceramic works by Picasso, to a 3D print of a human brain and a metal dress by Paco Rabanne, the new galleries will showcase our extraordinary collections of art, design, fashion, science and technology. Join us from 09:30 on Friday 8 July 2016 when guest DJ Mark Martin from Forth 1 will be opening the Museum with a bang. Help us celebrate in style with live music and entertainment from the Beltane Fire Society drummers, Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band and Animo samba band. Be amongst the first to discover your transformed Museum. Have a go at designing your own catwalk creation, power a lightbulb on our giant hamster wheel, and enjoy the thrills and spills of driving a racing car! #BigDiscoveries
